Job Summary

Preferred Location for this role is Stockholm.

The Partner Technical Lead (PTL) is the technical lead assigned to manage NetApp Partners. Working in collaboration with the entire Partner team, the PTL is responsible for understanding the long-term vision, business challenges, how NetApp's portfolio can play a part, owns the technical aspects of the development plan and delivers technical solutions that drive NetApp products, solutions, and services inclusion in Partner-led opportunities. The PTL is expected to deliver the following business objectives:

  • Develop joint offerings w/Partner that include NetApp products. solutions. and services.
  • Assist in driving revenue with the Partner by working with the NetApp Partner Manager and the partner's extended organization.
  • Align and enable the broader Partner sales & technical teams to understand and sell NetApp's offerings.
  • Ensure and manage a portfolio play that reflects NetApp's complete opportunities

Essential Functions

  • Build relationships, and understand Partners' capabilities against the must-win areas, strategic goals, and key market trends
  • Meet with the Sales and Technical executives, and thought leaders at the Partner, and establish a strong working relationship that drives collaboration between the organizations
  • Activate the Partner sales force by briefing technical executives at the Partner to ensure that they are up to date on the latest advances and solutions that NetApp brings to market
  • Work closely with the NetApp Partner Manager and NetApp solution leads, and align on driving a cohesive strategy that is delivered to the partner
  • Work with partners to develop joint solutions that include NetApp products, solutions, and services
  • Involve NetApp SME's and other stakeholders as needed; build interest and attendance to conferences; work with field organization on driving attendance and track/report on results
  • Orchestrate and align extended team members across NetApp, to see joint strategy execution
  • Promote Partner's capabilities within the NetApp field organization
  • Support NetApp’s sellers by identifying opportunities where offerings, services and solutions from Partner can be positioned
  • Develop, streamline, and maintain relationships with NetApp's technical leadership in the Geo and across key products and technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of product specifications
  • Provides product demonstrations and post-sales customer support
  • Keeps up to date with new products, product enhancements and industry trends
  • Conducts market research to improve existing products
  • Develops sales proposals and negotiates the best contract terms
  • Develops and maintains strong customer relationships and meets with new customers to expand sales territories

Job Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluent in English and Swedish (verbal and written)
  • Ideally at least 5-8 years' experience working in the technology industry or with technology resellers, systems integrators or GSI’s.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills are needed to work successfully with partners, their customers, and cross-functional teams to meet sales goals.
  • Ability to talk about technical subjects and deliver technical presentations to a wide array of audiences.
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilise them in a partner and customer facing environment.
  • Creative approach to problem solving.
  • Travel to partner sites, as necessary. It is expected that the PTL will spend at least 3 days a week at our partner’s offices.
  • Strong understanding of data storage, data management, data security, cloud services and technologies encompassing the hybrid cloud (On-Premises, AWS, Azure, GCP etc.)
