Marketing and Strategic Storytelling Manager, Social Impact

We’re looking for a strategic and creative marketing professional with exceptional writing and project management skills to lead storytelling, communications, and event initiatives that showcase how our customers, partners, and nonprofit collaborators are driving impact.
This role is designed to align our impact storytelling with Partner Marketing and Customer Advocacy goals, with a special focus on managing and expanding the Customer Partner Social Impact Awards. This person will lead global expansion, elevate stories that showcase shared impact, and serve as the project manager driving these programs.
This role is ideal for a collaborative self-starter who can take ideas from concept to execution, manage complex projects, lead high-visibility initiatives that elevate purpose-driven innovation and build strong relationships with clients and counterparts and lead relevant discussions to operationalize the work that directly impact the business vision and strategy.
Job Requirements
- Lead strategic storytelling and content creation across web, video, social, and written channels that highlight data and AI for good.
- Own project management of campaigns, videos, events, websites, and awards—ensuring timelines, reviews, and deliverables are executed smoothly.
- Manage the Customer Partner Social Impact Awards and collaborate across teams to amplify customer and partner success.
- Plan and execute field marketing and volunteer events aligned with NetApp’s social impact goals.
- Maintain and update internal/external websites and contribute to the annual ESG report and other impact communications.
- Accountable for the delivery of technical and business process design and roadmaps.
- Accountable for the required criteria and content for portfolio prioritization and approval to manage End to End launches through all stages.
- Ability to manage short, medium, and long-term planning horizons concurrently.
- Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions.
Experience
- 8+ years in marketing, communications, customer advocacy, or cause marketing.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Strong writing and editing skills with the ability to craft clear, inspiring content.
- Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with attention to detail.
- Experience leading events and managing vendors/creative partners.
- Strong digital fluency across web, social, and content platforms (Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, Teams, etc.).
