Federal Sales Specialist - Azure

At NetApp, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Azure Sales Specialist to join our team. As an Azure Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our Microsoft Azure solutions within the Federal sector. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver exceptional results. While this team looks to leverage several Azure-related cloud services that NetApp develops, the prioritized focus is on driving revenue of Azure NetApp Files (ANF), a co-engineered solution between NetApp and Microsoft.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan: You will create and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive Azure solution adoption within the Federal market segment. This includes identifying key accounts, establishing relationships with decision-makers, and positioning NetApp's Azure offerings as the preferred choice.
- Drive revenue growth: As an Azure Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth within the Federal business. You will actively prospect and qualify leads, conduct product demonstrations, negotiate contracts, and close deals to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
- Build and maintain customer relationships: Cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Federal sector is crucial. You will engage with customers to understand their unique business needs and challenges, provide consultative guidance, and position NetApp's Azure solutions as the ideal fit to address their requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams: You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including client executives, pre-sales engineers, solution architects, and marketing, to ensure effective solution positioning and seamless customer engagement. You will also provide feedback and insights from the field to drive continuous improvement of our Azure offerings.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: As the Azure Sales Specialist, you will stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the Federal market, particularly related to Azure and cloud technologies. You will leverage this knowledge to identify new opportunities, anticipate customer needs, and provide strategic guidance to internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Typically requires a minimum of 12 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Relevant certifications in Azure or cloud technologies are highly desirable
- Proven track record of success in selling Azure solutions within the Federal market segment, with a focus on driving revenue growth and exceeding sales targets
- Deep understanding of the Federal procurement process, compliance requirements, and contracting vehicles
- Strong knowledge of Azure services and solutions, including Azure Government Cloud and related security and compliance frameworks
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to travel as required to customer sites, events, and conferences
