In the role of Manager within the Enterprise Reporting team, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of reporting and analytics of one or more functions under Finance. It involves day-to-day supervision of reporting analysts who have ownership and responsibility for providing reporting and analytical services. Regular engagement with business around their reporting requirements and constant pro-active evolution of reports is key to driving success for the team.
Job Responsibilities
You will work collaboratively with other Managers within and outside your department, and provide direction to the team around responsibilities outlined below:
- Define and business results through creating world-class metrics, analysis, visualizations, and data-driven storytelling
- Prioritize business insight requests to balance the tactical and strategic information needs of the business
- Lead the definition and governance of key business metrics, drive the vision and building of self-service analytic capabilities, and engineer data-driven processes that drive business value
- Ensure quality takes a precedence with all reporting deliverables
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular engagement and work with them to support their reporting needs
- Foster an environment that values and promotes an inclusive approach to problem solving
- Drive optimization of reports to reduce complexity and promote self-serve
- Establish controls for all reports produced to ensure confidential non-public information is protected; define approval process for access to information and implement change control board to support changes to definitions, methodology or the report itself
- Establish a strong framework for report intake, to avoid duplication of work/reports, and align all measures and facts to the foundational data available (one standard data source that all reports, analyses can tie to)
- Support transformation through constant evolution; support the team through continuous learning programs to develop new techniques and tools to meet the needs to the future
Job Requirements
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis clearly to a diverse audience, including senior executives, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses
- Broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with complex reporting issues
- Experience with one or more reporting tools such as Power BI/Qlik/Tableau
- Excellence in planning and execution
- Analytical, high attention to detail, ability to prioritize
- Minimum understanding of Financials and the ability to reconcile revenue numbers to the PnL and Balance Sheet
Education
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience of which, 5+ years’ experience should be in Business Intelligence and 2-3 years as a people manager
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
