Job Summary

The PS Performance Global Project Delivery Senior Manager is responsible for delivering tactical business functions through various elements of delivery elements ranging from project tasks to escalate management to support the NetApp Professional     Services organization, providing leadership to a globally distributed team, driving projects through initiation, delivery, and ongoing management. The Senior Manager will support the global team working with, as well as directly, business stakeholders and business units across Professional Services in identifying opportunities to optimize and support the modernization of PS, helping to instigate and drive innovation to enable the business in strategic and operational decision making. The goals include an ongoing review of existing processes, tooling, and reporting, supporting the Global PS leadership and field organization, Supplier Relationship Office, Global Project Delivery, Finance, and HR. Developing a center of excellence for business intelligence, including subject matter experts in data analytics, business analysis, and system developers. Drive Continuous Service Improvement Plans collaborating with stakeholders to proactively drive innovation. Drive and prioritize the teams’ initiatives and projects to support business requirements, where identified, working with the PS Global Project Management team ensuring initiatives and projects are delivered on time. Reporting to leadership on the status of initiatives and projects. Identify opportunities where internal or external solutions may maximize the return on investment. This is a globally strategic, fast-paced, dynamic role that requires critical thinking and a business attitude where teamwork and collaboration are a must. Successful candidates will have exceptional soft skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.

Interaction: 
This role is highly collaborative, with a focus on assisting the PS Operations management and PS Leadership 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Business Leadership and Point of Contact for Global PS Project Delivery Enablement Teams 
  • Work closely and establish a close collaboration with PS leadership, PS Operations Management, PS Field delivery management, and Finance to execute the PS vision within Global Project Delivery 
  • Enhance processes within existing tools and reporting capabilities for current initiatives, including and not limited to; the NetApp Skills Marketplace, Supplier Bid Process, Backlog reporting, GPD reporting, PS Forecasting, PS by the Numbers, NetApp PS delivery Centers of Excellence, PULSE enhancements, Global Dashboard, Tableau. 
  • Review all areas of the Professional Services business to identify where efficiencies can be introduced using globally centralized reporting and toolsets, which could include tracking Supplier Purchase Order consumption, Purchase order Approval, Internal resource delivery utilization, and Internal and supplier resource margin contributions.
  • Explore automation and technologies such as AI that would benefit the business and enable faster decision-making.
  • Management of the pipeline of business requests around tooling and reporting 
  • Review and support the business to define long-term strategies for tools.
  • Ensure Global Project Delivery projects are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Perform post-delivery Return on Investment assessments.
  • Implementation of periodic reviews of tools and reporting with the business intelligence team and stakeholders to ensure ongoing alignment and benefits.
  • Regular reporting to leadership on utilization, ongoing and planned initiatives, and programs to increase transparency. 
  • Overseeing data integrity and flawless execution of transactional operations delivered by the Business Intelligence team to support the business.
  • Daily Management of the globally distributed team
  • Development of individuals to Subject Matter Experts to support the business to proactively create and provide consumable Global Project Delivery data and reports to the business.  
  • Maximizing individuals’ potential through cross-geographical working, collaboration, increased visibility to the broader organization through the delivery, driving independent thinking to identify change and to act as change agents.

Job Requirements

  • 3 – 5 years of previous management experience, leading a distributed team is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in the virtual management of a cross-functional team
  • Experience in working in a Professional Services organization.
  • Experience in working with teams in the development of tools and reporting.
  • Track record of working collaboratively at all levels of business
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Self-driven with a goal for the team to succeed.
  • Strong aptitude and interest in learning new technologies.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree desired or equivalent job experience.
  • An overall relevant experience of at least 12 years.
