Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) professional to join our team and manage the CSR function in India. This role will be instrumental in developing and implementing CSR initiatives that align with our global and regional strategies, ensuring compliance with Indian regulations and the Companies Act, and managing initiatives that support our Social Impact purpose: empowering employees to care for our communities and leverage data/AI for good. Our strategic focus areas include:

  • Data/AI Literacy: Expanding data/AI literacy, K-12, with a focus on underserved groups.
  • Equity: Expanding access to data/AI skills and careers for underrepresented and underserved groups
  • Environmental Sustainability: Accelerating data/AI solutions for environmental sustainability. 
  • Employee Community Engagement: Empowering our employees to support the causes they’re most passionate about.

Reporting to the Regional Social Impact Manager (APAC & EMEA), this role with work closely internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement global/regional social impact initiatives aligned with NetApp’s strategic focus areas and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the company's CSR function in India. 
  • Lead/support social impact initiatives in APAC.
  • Develop and implement CSR initiatives to support the company’s global/regional strategy in compliance with the India regulations and Companies Act.
  • Manage the CSR budget, ensuring spending aligns with planned objectives.
  • Develop and implement tools to track, evaluate, and report the effectiveness and impact of CSR initiatives. 
  • Ensure compliance with CSR norms, NGO requirements, and fund utilisation.
  • Provide support to stakeholders for statutory/regulatory filings and CSR Audit.
  • Manage internal systems and procedures relevant to CSR committee governance.
  • Present program plans, updates, and impact metrics to CSR committee members and senior management. Conduct regular reviews and presentations with stakeholders.
  • Partner with stakeholders to develop and expand Social Impact programs and impact.
  • Collaborate with marketing and PR teams to promote stakeholder engagement and storytelling.
  • Support the annual ESG and CSR impact report development, including case studies and disclosures.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing CSR initiatives and ensuring compliance with India’s CSR laws. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive with an ability to work across various functions, nonprofit organizations, and other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of impact measurement, program evaluation and reporting. 
  • Self-starter, resourceful, and a team player with the ability to multi-task.

Education

  • Bachelors/Masters in relevant fields such as MSW, CSR/sustainability, public policy, communications etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing CSR initiatives and ensuring compliance with India’s CSR laws.
