Job Summary

As a Technical Content Developer, you will proactively work with the Curriculum Manager to analyze, plan, design, and develop technical training programs. You will provide recommendations on curriculum design, training deployment, and assessment strategies. To be successful in this role, you must be creative and experienced with designing innovative digital courses. You require strong project management, relationship building, and specific subject-matter skills. You also require a strong technical understanding of NetApp’s storage and cloud products and solutions. Additionally, this role requires strategic thinking, problem solving, and strong communication skills. You must be an organized self-starter, results-oriented, and possess the ability to work with cross-functional teams and provide guidance for projects.

Description
•    Consult with stakeholders and program owners on defining the learner requirements for courses.
•    Analyze and translate business needs and task analyses of specific job roles into training and enablement content and aligned learning objectives.
•    Implement and manage the content creation and review process for Post-Sales technical courses.
•    Apply standard tools and practices to deliver impactful and measurable, blended-training deliverables that meet learner requirements.
•    Create engaging and relevant courses for various course modalities, including eLearning, micro-learning, video-based learning, instructor-led training (in-classroom and virtual), and on-demand classes. 
•    Create design documents, storyboards, lab exercise guides, supporting content (e.g. job aids and user guides), and evaluation tools (e.g. assessments and knowledge checks). 
•    Utilize the available learning resources and toolkits (e.g. learning theories and strategies, data analysis, course authoring tools, AI, web and virtual platforms, video production and streaming tools, branding, software simulators, content repositories, and LMS) to create asynchronous and synchronous learning.
•    Explore, evaluate, and recommend emerging learning strategies to the team.
•    Recommend appropriate learning-evaluation methods to design, deliver, and evaluate instruction.. 
•    Demonstrate strong team spirit, consulting, and collaborative skills working with across NetApp Learning Services, business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to identify the problem, documents the findings, and identify the best learning solution and strategy to drive the overall goal of the course and business outcome.

Job Requirements


•    Technical expertise in UNIX and Windows.
•    Enterprise storage technologies, NAS, SAN, object storage, and virtualization.
•    Cloud concepts and experience with public cloud services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
•    Databases like Oracle and SQL Server.
•    Good exposure on Computer networks is required.
•    Expertise in applying Instructional Design practices to design and develop technical training.
•    Experience in using adult learning theories and methodologies to deliver on performance improvement needs.
•    Experience with tools, such as Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, Snagit, and Adobe Captivate.
•    Expertise in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
•    Experience with learning platforms, such as edX, NovoEd, and Mindtickle would be a plus.
•    Proven track record of developing multi-faceted projects with the ability to drive through completion.
•    Seamlessly manage multiple projects, manage development deliverables, meet key milestones, and handle deliverables

Education

•    A minimum of 8 years of experience in technical training development is required.
•    A Bachelor or Master of Engineering or Science degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
