Job Summary

The role involves leading all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) and portfolio management, collaborating with cross-functional teams for successful product launches. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks, and effectively communicating goals to stakeholders. The individual will drive material readiness with the supply chain, participate in early-stage product development, and ensure alignment with operational objectives. They will optimize sustaining products, capture lessons learned, and provide recommendations for future designs and processes. Evaluating performance, implementing risk mitigation, and driving continuous improvement are essential. Collaboration with the strategic sourcing team for cost reduction and component sourcing strategies is vital. The role also includes providing input on DFx methods in Hardware Engineering design discussions and meeting program cost targets with technical expertise. Effective product transition management, clear communication of program status and changes, and understanding financial principles, market dynamics, and product positioning are crucial. Strong analytical skills using BI tools and delivering valuable business insights are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead NPI and portfolio management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute product launches, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate goals to stakeholders.
  • Participate in early-stage product development, ensuring alignment objectives and requirements of Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Test, and Service.
  • Optimize sustaining products, provide feedback to Engineering, Product Management, and Supply Chain, and make recommendations for future designs and processes.
  • Evaluate performance against customer and business requirements, implement risk mitigation, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with the operations strategic sourcing team to drive cost reduction and component sourcing strategies throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Provide input on DFx methods (manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, and cost) in Hardware Engineering design discussions.
  • Utilize technical expertise to meet program cost targets at a product and commodity level.
  • Establish clear mechanisms to communicate program status and changes to the team and management.

Job Requirements

  • 8+ years’ experience NPI hardware and portfolio management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to execute product launches, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate goals to stakeholders.
  • Experience setting build plans, drive material readiness with the supply chain, and evaluate constraints.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining PLM processes and policies for effective product transition management, including risk analysis, supply continuity, and end-of-life considerations.
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau and/or PowerBi) for strong analytics and delivering business insights to stakeholders.
  • Ability to apply Six Sigma and continuous process improvement concepts.
  • Understanding of enterprise data center hardware and infrastructure is a plus. 

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is [$130,500]  - [$183,480].  Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.  In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
