Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Director to lead and drive our public sector sales team within the ANZ region for NetApp Products and Professional Services. As the Director, Public Sector Sales, you will be responsible for managing and executing the business and revenue of the public sector sales team, specifically targeting Federal and ACT Government Agencies. This is a challenging and high-visibility position that requires strong leadership and strategic management skills.

Job Requirements

  • Provide management oversight to Client Executives within the District to drive all pertinent issues related to sales strategy and goal attainment.

  • Define and lead approaches to Government contract awards.

  • Participate in strategic planning sessions with the sales management team on a quarterly and annual basis.

  • Communicate Corporate strategy to employees within your region.

  • Plan and direct activities including planning and implementing forecasts, marketing program development, relationship development, and customer satisfaction.

  • Establish short-term and long-term goals and quotas in line with corporate objectives.

  • Identify and qualify important sales opportunities at the management level.

  • Select, develop, and evaluate the team to ensure departmental goals are met.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.

  • Strong relationship building and negotiating skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of storage technologies and competitive offerings.

  • Experience with solution selling and consultative sales techniques.

  • Aptitude for understanding how technology products and solutions solve business problems.

  • Track record of exceeding assigned sales quotas.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing professional-level employees.
