Job Summary

As a NetApp Account Technical Specialist (ATS), you will utilize your technical expertise and our cutting-edge data storage portfolio to address customers' technical needs and deliver successful business results. As an ATS, you will be assigned to a district team and sales leader, focusing on expanding our presence within new clients.

As the primary technical expert for the district, your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with district managers and client executives to create strategies for developing customer opportunities related to storage solutions
  • Advising on the engagement and utilization of a broader range of technical resources
  • Offering technical expertise on NetApp's storage products and solutions
  • Applying knowledge of NetApp's processes and cross-functional teams


For high-priority sales opportunities, your tasks will involve:

  • Designing tailored storage technology solutions to address unique customer challenges
  • Utilizing exceptional communication skills to convey the advantages of NetApp storage solutions through presentations, demonstrations, and discussions
  • Assisting customers in validating or testing storage technology solutions in their environment
  • Building on-premise or hybrid storage systems
  • Developing or managing storage infrastructure and data management solutions for enterprise applications
  • Understanding the role of storage solutions in the context of Cloud Service Providers and leveraging them for optimal business outcomes

Job Requirements

About You:

You comprehend the difficulties faced by customers and devise storage technology solutions to address them
You possess outstanding communication skills, enabling you to showcase the benefits of NetApp storage solutions in presentations, demonstrations, and conversations with customers and partners
You excel at designing and architecting storage solutions tailored to customers' needs, often integrating NetApp products with those of our technology alliance partners
You are adept at establishing robust relationships with customers at various levels


What we're looking for:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as an individual contributor in a Sales Engineering, Solutions Architect, or Solutions Engineering role, focused on storage technologies
  • Recent experience in a B2B technical organization
  • Proven leadership abilities among peers and through example
  • Experience showcasing a substantial level of expertise in technical specifications to sell NetApp storage products and services

USA and Canada Residents Only:

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $160K- $180K.  Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law.  In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
