Job Requirements
We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Data Governance lead for our Customer & Contact Master Data Governance (MDG) organization. This role is pivotal in shaping and executing NetApp’s enterprise-wide Customer & Contact data governance strategy, ensuring high-quality, trusted master data that powers business operations, analytics, and AI-driven innovation. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data governance frameworks, metadata and data quality management, and MDM platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP MDG, Informatica, Collibra), with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive enterprise transformation
- Strategy & Governance: Establish Customer & Contact data strategy and governance. Enhance master data usage across the enterprise to make timely decisions, accelerate innovation, and increase agility in a competitive landscape
- Stewardship: Establish federated stewardship with cross functional representation to establish data standards, quality, compliance, availability, and data knowledge across the enterprise
- Policy & Standards Development: Develop and enforce enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and procedures for Customer & Contact master data domai
- Cross-Functional & Org Collaboration: Partner with Business Process Architects, Enterprise Architects, Business Operations, and IT Teams to promote the adoptions of enterprise-wide data policies, standards, and procedures for Customer and Contact data. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal data governance requirements, including audit readiness, access controls, and data lifecycle management
Partner with data science and analytics teams to ensure company and contact data readiness for AI/GenAI use cases, derive business insights and maximize the value of data assets, and track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives as well as ROI for data assets. - Data Quality Management: Drive overall DQ lifecycle including profiling, monitoring, and remediation processes, conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure that product data and content meet industry standards and best practice.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal data governance requirements, including audit readiness, access controls, and data lifecycle management.
Job Requirements
- Must be self-motivated, team oriented and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Deep understanding of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK), data stewardship models, and data quality methodologies.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data (metrics) to improve the delivery and support master data management to the business.
- Hands-on experience with MDM and governance tools such as SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Collibra, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Oracle, Snowflake, Azure) and data consumption patterns (e.g., data products, semantic layers).
- Strong communication skills with proven experience in stakeholder engagement (including senior business and technical teams) and the ability to showcase the business benefits of Data Governance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience working in Enterprise Master Data Governance org specifically related to Customer/Company/Contact (Party) master data domain
- Bachelor’s or higher degree, preferably in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or related fields
Preferred Quallifications
- Experience in regulated industries or environments with complex compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with AI/ML data readiness and data mesh/data fabric architectures.
- Certification in data governance or MDM
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 158,950 - 236,500 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
