Job Summary
The Partner Technical Lead (PTL) is an integral member of NetApp’s partner sales team as the primary technical resource for assigned partners. In this role the PTL is responsible for driving growth for NetApp partners through product evangelization, education on products, tools and selling strategies and hands on facilitation of partner opportunities. Additionally, the PTL acts as the technical liaison between the partner and NetApp sales, support and engineering.

Job Requirements
- Create and curate compelling and interesting content around the NetApp Portfolio with a ‘partner lens’ helping them to identify how our products and strategy will make their business successful.
- Understand the concept of a service catalogue and how services are created from technology.
- Identify and influence the improvement of key channel business processes across NetApp.
- Assist with the ongoing improvement and evolution of partner programs.
- Drive overall partner PTL program consistency, teaming, and integration of all PTL activities when applicable.
- Participate in local, regional, and global channel and PTL seminars and events
- Stay abreast of Partner news, industry technology, trends, and competitive intelligence.
- Periodically, assist in technical post-sales escalations for assigned Partner/s.
- Provide product presentations and education to small or large Partner groups
- Provide product demonstrations and create content for Partners to use as selling tools
- Demonstrate leadership and provide mentoring for other technical team members.
- Support Partner responses for RFI/RFP.
- Responsible for Partner advocacy within NetApp.
- Build plan to drive regular EBC and NetApp event attendance for key Partner contacts.
Skills & Education
- Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent is required.
- Experience which demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell
NetApp technical skills preferred:
- Technical skills in one or more of the following is preferred: Virtualization, cloud, Automation and orchestration, Windows, UNIX/LINUX, storage networking, networking, Data Protection
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and skills
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical features and function into compelling business value
- Demonstrated ability to personally create team plans, estimate/manage workloads and timelines, track details and drive work to completion in a timely manner.
- Successful experience in building long term personal relationships with senior level enterprise Partners.
- Certification in one or more Public Clouds desirable but not required
- Other Recognized industry certifications desirable, but not required
- Technical Product Marketing experience advantageous
