NetApp is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Financial Analyst to join our America's Professional Services organization. This role will serve as the Geo Controller, responsible for managing the full P&L statement, from bookings to revenue to margin, plus OPEX and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial analysis, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act as the Geo Controller for the America's Professional Services organization.
• Manage the full P&L statement, including all bookings, revenue and cost.
• Oversee targeting and planning of bookings, revenue conversion, resourcing, and commission plans.
• Handle OPEX and COGS for services.
• Ad hoc deal reviews, ensure compliance and margin health.
• SOX compliance testing spanning PS cost accruals, revenue recognition, and project completion
• Utilize tools such as Hyperion, Essbase, advanced Excel, and Oracle products for financial analysis and reporting.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in the business, providing decision support and collaborating across finance and other functions as needed.
• Present finance materials to an executive-level audience within the broad organization.
• Essential Functions:
• Provide business partnership, decision support, and fiduciary guidance.
• Prepare and drive operational and financial metrics to support key decision-making.
• Participate in projects related to financial systems or business processes.
• Gather, analyze, prepare, and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements, and operating forecasts.
• Work with cross-functional groups to provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, cost analysis, product pricing, management reporting, organization and cost center structure, revenue and operational policy review, SOX, and audit testing.
• Participate in the close cycle by preparing and posting journal entries for areas of responsibility.
• Integrate financial processes and operations of the business.
Job Requirements

• Responsibility and Interaction:
• The tasks this individual is responsible for are often non-routine and unstructured, requiring creative solutions.
• This individual will apply attained experiences and knowledge in solving routine to moderately complex problems.
• This individual must work effectively with staff to Vice President level employees within the function, and the technical team on assigned projects. There may be communication with employees in other functions and geographies.
• Limited management direction is provided to the employee on new projects or assignments as well as review of activities and priorities.
• The ideal candidate will be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert on team projects.
• To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through coaching and influencing others.
Education
• A minimum of 6 years of experience is required. 6-8 years of experience is preferred.
• A University Degree or equivalent experience is required
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $127,000-$165,000. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
