The StorageGRID team at NetApp helps customers deploy enterprise class on-prem object storage solutions, that are simple, performant and scalable.
We are looking for a Senior Technical Marketing Manager to contribute to growth and evolution of NetApp’s StorageGRID. In this role, the candidate will be a product evangelist, working closely with customers, partners, product marketing and field experts to understand their needs, to equip and enable them to tap the potential of Data protection offerings.
The success of this role depends on aligning customer, field, and company priorities to ensure that our data protection services bring more value to storage infrastructure while building and growing the products.
One of the key responsibilities of this role will be to run performance benchmarking tests at scale for S3 storage systems. In addition it will be expected that these tests are automated for repeatability.
Job Requirements
- Experience with enterprise automation frameworks and programming languages to allow performance test automation
- Generate product excitement and solicit feedback by delivering customer roadmaps and executive briefings.
- Integrate advanced product and use-case knowledge in specialized v-teams associated to specific go-to-market efforts.
- Generate outbound customer-facing content in the form of blogs, vlogs, and social media.
- Lead in technical conferences, trade shows by helping develop and deliver the needed collateral for customer outreach.
- Help Sales engineers and architects, customer success, and professional services with advanced product design to overcome functional, performance, or security related blockers impacting deal acceptance or customer satisfaction.
- Perform hands-on testing, documentation, and certification of bespoke configurations for product functional customizations.
- Lead in developing and maintaining field-facing tools such as TCO estimators, performance sizers, and more.
- Serve as a technical liaison for the product team for design and functional related escalations, providing technical oversight and guidance to the teams managing customer and partner-critical situations.
- Directly contribute to strategic relationship management for our strategic customers.
- Oversee enhancement request processes, ensuring technical, business, and financial context is well understood and influences product design and prioritization decisions.
- Lead technical analysis on install base data to equip internal teams to make rapid, confident decisions around use-case, design, and product reliability.
- Serve as technical subject matter expert for go-to-market planning with partner teams and contribute to technical market and competitive analysis.
- Experience of designing, supporting and operating enterprise infrastructure and operations.
- Customer obsession – demonstrated building a strong understanding of customer problems and building capabilities that help resolve their pain points.
- Ownership abilities – demonstrated end to end ownership, accountability, and a desire to lead from the front when required to achieve the desired outcome.
- Hands-on experience in storage, compute, networking, and virtualization solutions on hybrid-cloud
- Experience in building and operating production and test environments including compute, storage, networking components & enterprise workloads.
- Experience creating content including but not limited to videos, presentations, blogs, and technical documents.
- Experience designing for environments with stringent security requirements, including general, contractual, legal, geopolitical, and industry-specific security frameworks is a plus.
- Ideal candidate would be a developer/QA with automation and strong communication skills (because this is a customer facing role)
Education
IC - Typically A minimum of 5 years of related experience.
An academic degree in Computer Science; or equivalent work experience.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 128,340 - 180,400 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
