Finance Manager

#NetApp is building a world-class finance organization and is #hiring for a top-notch Finance Manager to join our Business Unit Finance team. This role will support our On-Prem Storage-as-a-Service offering – Keystone. Unlike traditional storage, Keystone offers customers a complete solution that provides a flexible and scalable way to consume storage. As the business continues to experience strong double-digit growth, we are expanding our Finance team to ensure we can effectively support this momentum.
This is a cross functional role, where you will partner with multiple functions including Product Management, Engineering, Business Operations, Sales, Accounting, to deliver accurate financial forecasting, actionable insights, and make a meaningful impact to the business. Proactivity, analytical thinking, crisp communication, effective business partnering and ability to adapt to a dynamic environment are key to success in this role.
This individual will develop financial models to support initiatives and provide insights to the Keystone management team. The analysis will cover (among other things) growth opportunities, cost optimization, new product introduction, and price changes for existing service tiers. It is a highly visible role which supports senior management in the decision-making process along with their operational staff.
This is a hybrid role working 2 days out of our San Jose, California or RTP, North Carolina offices.
Job Requirements
This role has responsibility for a wide range of financial support and analysis tasks. It includes but is not limited to:
- Drive the monthly forecasting process, delivering accuracy and insights by collaborating closely with business partners
- Contribute to the development of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Planning (LRP) by providing insightful bottoms up financial modeling
- Craft insightful financial presentations to report our current quarter financials to the Product Leadership Team and to support business reviews.
- Develop strong relationships with business partners and drive initiatives aligned with organizational priorities
- Provide actionable insights to the senior leadership team to balance growth and margin
- Develop KPI’s and other metrics to measure success
- Drive cross-functional efforts for analytics improvement, data quality, and self-service reporting
- Other ad-hoc projects or activities to provide FP&A support
Education
- BS/BA degree with 10+ years’ experience in FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and /or Business Finance
- Strong understanding of financial statements including B/S, P&L and drivers for revenue and margin
- Strong financial/analytical skills with proven capabilities in developing complex financial models, and a track record of driving process improvements
- Experience in business partnering and presenting to an executive audience. Prior experience with a services business a plus.
- Ability to function independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including PowerPoint, Word, and modeling in Excel
- Systems experience including Oracle, Hyperion, Power BI, and business analytics a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Work hard and play hard attitude
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 152,150 - 206,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
