Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Vice President of Cloud Storage Engineering to lead our Shared
Services organization and manage our unique hyperscale stack. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will
have the opportunity to drive innovation that scales into multiple clouds as a first-party storage service. In this
role, you will influence and establish the best engineering practices across the organization and provide hands-on
engineering leadership. The successful candidate will have cloud expertise, proven track record of leading complex,
large engineering teams and development at scale.
To succeed you must demonstrate a high level of ownership and insist on the highest standards of quality,
maintainability, performance, availability, and customer centric decision making. You will cut through the noise,
relentlessly simplify, work back from your customers, and deliver results. This role requires strong collaboration
with cross-functional leaders across Cloud Storage organizations. Prior experience working on storage systems is
preferred but not mandatory.
Key Responsibilites
• Strategic Leadership: Lead the Shared Services Organization to deliver on multiple cross-functional 1P initiatives and scale engineering.
• Cloud Expertise: Provide visionary leadership with deep expertise in cloud technologies to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• Technical Leadership: Offer hands-on engineering leadership, demonstrating the ability to engage deeply in technical challenges and guide teams through complex problem-solving.
• Inclusive Environment: Champion and cultivate a diverse and inclusive work environment where all team members can collaborate effectively and achieve organizational goals.
• Ownership and Agility: Lead with a strong sense of ownership and a growth-oriented mindset, exhibiting the ability to pivot quickly and act with agility in response to business needs. Build and maintain excellent relationships, inspiring others through intellectual engagement and a change-oriented mindset.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster strong partnerships with product and engineering organizations. Create an environment of shared values and collaboration at all levels, ensuring alignment and synergy in achieving strategic objectives.
• Visionary Communication: Articulate and evangelize NetApp’s vision, mission, value proposition, and go to-market strategy persuasively and clearly. Communicate effectively within the team, across peer groups, to executive staff, and with customers, ensuring alignment and buy-in from all stakeholders.
Key Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, demonstrating a strong technical foundation.
• 15 years of experience in leading and scaling engineering teams, with a proven track record of managing
large-scale projects involving petabytes of data, significant code commits, and complex technical
challenges.
• Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, foster continuous learning, and lead transformative change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively across cross functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Exemplify authentic leadership characterized by a genuine desire to help, coach, and mentor others. Your leadership is driven by a commitment to empowering team members and enabling their success, rather

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 314,500 - 407,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
