Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced NetApp ONTAP Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. In this role, you will:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for support escalations related to FSX for NetApp ONTAP storage systems, providing expert-level analysis and troubleshooting
leading to problem resolution. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues related to FSx for ONTAP, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Design, configure, and administer FSX for NetApp ONTAP storage systems, including storage provisioning, data protection, performance optimization, and capacity planning.
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and mentorship to support teams to enhance their understanding and proficiency.
- Participate in the development and implementation of storage strategies for FSx for ONTAP, best practices, and standards based on NetApp ONTAP.
ensuring alignment with business and cloud architecture goals. - Evaluate and recommend improvements to storage infrastructure, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with cloud architects, customers and other stakeholders to design and implement FSxN solutions in cloud environments, ensuring scalability, high availability, and cost optimization.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements, updates, and features of FSX for NetApp ONTAP and AWS cloud technologies.
- Participate in performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization for FSx for ONTAP storage systems in cloud environments.
- Provide recommendations for the integration of FSX for NetApp ONTAP solutions with other cloud services, applications, and platforms, ensuring seamless interoperability.
- Work flexible hours, including participation in an on-call shift rotation, and be available to support critical issues or projects across different time zones.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to NetApp ONTAP, cloud architecture, and storage management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer, cloud certifications) are highly desirable.
At least 3 years of experience in providing expert-level support, with advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex storage-related issues.
Proven experience as a NetApp ONTAP Subject Matter Expert, with a deep understanding of NetApp ONTAP storage solutions, including configuration, administration, troubleshooting and optimization- advantage.
Strong knowledge of storage and data management concepts, protocols (e.g., NFS, CIFS, iSCSI), and technologies (e.g., RAID, snapshots, replication).
AWS Cloud infrastructure knowledge is highly desirable
Proficiency in cloud architecture concepts, including designing and implementing FSX for NetApp ONTAP solutions in AWS cloud environments.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.
Continuous learning mindset and willingness to stay updated with advancements in NetApp ONTAP and cloud technologies.
Flexibility to work across different time zones to support global operations

This is a pipeline position that will be opened on a recurring basis and used to fill roles aligned with the required skill sets.
