Position Overview:
We are seeking a Global Director of Sales to lead and scale our global sales organization across North America, EMEA, and APAC. This high-impact role focuses on driving revenue growth, developing sales strategies, managing complex enterprise accounts, and ensuring operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring proven sales leadership experience, expertise in open-source or cloud technologies, and deep knowledge of the MEDDIC sales methodology to drive success.
Job Responsibilities
• Global Sales Leadership & Team Development:
Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing global sales team. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement while aligning the team with ambitious revenue goals. Recruit, train, and develop talent across key regions.
• Revenue Growth & Strategic Sales Execution:
Develop and execute a global sales strategy targeting key verticals and geographic markets. Drive expansion across enterprise accounts, aligning efforts with company objectives to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Sales Operations & Scalability:
Build and optimize sales processes, frameworks, and best practices to enable scalable growth. Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure seamless alignment between sales, marketing, product, and customer success functions.
• Enterprise Account Management & Partnerships:
Oversee and nurture key enterprise accounts and strategic partnerships. Develop long-term relationships with C-level stakeholders to ensure customer retention, success, and global growth.
• Open-Source & Cloud Solution Expertise:
Leverage your understanding of open-source technologies (Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch) and cloud infrastructure to position Instaclustr’s managed solutions effectively, enabling customers to scale their data infrastructure.
• MEDDIC Sales Methodology:
Implement and enforce the MEDDIC methodology to improve qualification, forecast accuracy, and deal closure across global sales cycles. Provide training to ensure consistent adoption and success across the sales organization.
• Forecasting & Reporting:
Own global sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting. Provide performance updates to the executive team, offering insights into progress, trends, and opportunities in key markets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align go-to-market strategies, refine messaging, and deliver a consistent global customer experience. Share market insights to inform product development and sales enablement.
• Continuous Optimization:
Drive ongoing improvements in global sales performance, processes, and team structures to ensure efficiency and success in diverse markets.
Key Requirements
• 7+ years of global sales leadership experience with proven success in scaling sales teams and driving revenue growth.
• Expertise in open-source or cloud technologies, preferably in managed services, SaaS, or infrastructure solutions.
• Deep experience with the MEDDIC sales methodology and managing complex enterprise sales cycles.
• Strong strategic and business acumen with a data-driven approach to decision-making and sales performance optimization.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, particularly with C-level stakeholders.
• Global mindset with adaptability to diverse markets, cultures, and fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in open-source data infrastructure, cloud services, or enterprise-level SaaS solutions.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 373,660 - 483,560 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
