Job Summary

NetApp is seeking a highly skilled Vice President of Cloud Storage Engineering. You have an opportunity to drive innovation that is scaling into multiple clouds as a first party storage service. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading complex, large engineering teams, development at scale, and partnering with GCP to align strategic efforts and deliver successful products as an external ISV leader into the cloud. They will have deep knowledge and experience in multi-cloud and cloud architecture as the overall engineering leader for Google NetApp Files

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to the organization within our cloud storage division with a focus on Google Cloud Platform
  • Partner with GCP to drive co-development of Cloud Services, tight integration to the cloud platform fundamentals and tight alignment with their strategic direction
  • Lead storage innovation in partnership with the hyperscalers, adopting newest cloud capabilities/options and build optimize storage and workloads offerings
  • Build and manage a high-performing engineering team and deliver successful products as an ISV leader into the cloud
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, sales, and marketing to ensure a cohesive approach to delivering cloud storage on GCP
  • Optimize cloud environments and ensure industry standard compliance across security and networking solutions
  • Oversee container-based solutions that leverage Kubernetes and other container orchestration platforms. Develop and implement telemetry solutions that provide visibility into the performance and health of our cloud offerings
  • Collaborate with executive-level stakeholders, including the CEO staff, technical leaders at Google Cloud, and top customers to ensure alignment and integration with our broader product portfolio
  • Help your teams be excellent and flawless in execution. Be relentless, have grit, be disciplined. You help them move at cloud speed and yet have the patience to build truly great things.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in leading engineering teams
  • Delivering successful products as an external ISV leader into the public cloud
  • Experience in leading a complex large organization and driving revenue and market share growth.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, with a particular focus on cloud storage and volumes
  • Up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in GCP, leveraging that knowledge to drive innovation and deliver best-in-class solutions
  • Experience in storage technologies is advantageous but not required
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing team
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and change in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuinely a servant leader. You have authentic leadership that arises not from exercise of power or selfinterested actions but from a fundamental desire to first help, coach, mentor others and make them great
