Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior AI/ML Business Development and Sales Specialist with a proven track record of success in navigating the complex landscape of artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) technologies. This individual should have a robust blend of strategic business acumen, sales prowess, and a profound technical understanding of AI/ML/DL infrastructures, including both storage and compute considerations. 

As an expert in the field, the ideal candidate will have a keen ability to discern customer needs and craft bespoke solutions that align with their unique business objectives. Your role will be pivotal in empowering AI business leaders and technologists to seamlessly integrate cutting-edge technologies into their operations, while adeptly addressing data pipeline and data management intricacies inherent in AI/ML/DL ventures.

***This position will be based in the DC Metro area***

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the sales of NetApp solutions within AI projects, particularly in the Public Sector, while meeting and exceeding sales quotas.
  • Engage with customers to unravel the complexities of AI/ML technology adoption, spotlighting how NetApp solutions can expedite their AI/ML/DL project timelines.
  • Stimulate demand by articulating compelling business use cases to partners and customers, demonstrating the transformative impact of AI/ML/DL adoption within their industries.
  • Collaborate with NetApp's internal teams to translate customer and partner feedback into customized programs and innovative integration opportunities.
  • Spearhead AI/ML campaigns in conjunction with sales and field teams, ensuring successful execution and implementation.
  • Serve as an authoritative voice on NetApp's AI/ML strategy, value proposition, and offerings, both internally and in the marketplace.

Job Requirements

  • Clearance Preferred: Top Secret or TS/SCI preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of cloud computing and cloud-based AI/ML/DL services.
  • Established connections with NVIDIA and NetApp AI ISV partners.
  • Familiarity with the compute and storage technology ecosystem.
  • Experience with High-Performance Computing and parallel file systems.
  • Ability to engage with both technical and business audiences effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Management and Engineering to convey Field needs.
  • Confidence in public speaking and presenting at industry events.
  • Deep-seated experience in AI/ML/DL technology, data management challenges, and customer requirements.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AI/ML/DL business use cases and vertical-specific offerings.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking regarding business, product, and technical challenges.
  • Proven ability to create and scale programs that align with customer needs and bolster revenue growth.

Education

  • A minimum of 12 years in business development, sales, or customer engagement within the IT sector, including leadership experience.
  • At least 2 years dedicated to AI/ML/DL projects and related technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry-specific AI use cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $248,000 - $302,000 total on target earnings and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
