Job Summary
We are seeking for a highly experienced Senior Solutions Engineer based in Ho Chi Minh City, who possesses great technical consultative leadership for enterprises during the pre-sales and/or post-sales cycles.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer in NetApp's Tech Sales function, you will be responsible for leading, architecting and designing comprehensive solutions throughout the sales cycle; delivering thought leadership to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to our customers.
In your role, you will utilize your excellent technical and relationship building skills in working with sales, partners and product engineering teams to ensure that optimum systems solutions are provided to customers.
You will be the go-to person to help in breaking down technical barriers, provides advice to tackle challenges in account/deal engagement strategies, supports internal and external technical escalations.
Essential Functions
The essential responsibilities of the Senior Solutions Engineers are to work directly with internal sales and customers in pre-sales and post sales situations, and to work effectively across functions with other NetApp employees in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Development areas.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Identify customer needs and requirements, developing the opportunity, influence customer’s decision and moving it towards closure.
- Build deep, consultative relationships with their customers, effectively becoming a trusted adviser.
- Understand the customer's business objectives, and match these to NetApp solutions to satisfy the business and technical requirements.
- Define customer acceptance criteria for Proof-of-Concept (POC) evaluations and provide technical support to complete the POC successfully.
- Work collaboratively with Sales to develop business cases and value justifications to support NetApp value propositions
- Work with Sales and Partners to respond to RFP's.
- Communicate and collaborate with their peers and colleagues on trends, product feedback, customer success
- Develops and owns the technical GTM strategies which aligns with the country’s plan/goal
Requirements
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal communication and customer service skills are needed in order work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet performance goals.
- Account management and project management experience.
- Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.
- Ability to follow standard engineering principles and practices.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Strong leadership quality in guiding the Solutions Engineering team
Education and Experience
- 10 to 15 years of experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science; or equivalent is required.
- Experience which demonstrates a strong level of expertise in technical specifications required to sell NetApp products and services is required.
- Good understanding of storage concepts and competitive positioning knowledge is essential and conveyed with strong presentation skills.
- Specialized knowledge in infrastructure including virtualization & server/network/storage. Knowledge and experience in Cloud Technologies preferred.
