Job Summary

As our company continues to invest in CPQ to drive business growth and efficiency, it is essential to establish a dedicated Business Quality Analyst to ensure the success and quality of these initiatives. This position will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity of our systems, processes, and data, ultimately leading to improved customer satisfaction, user experience and operational excellence.

Quality is not a one-time effort or strictly focused on functionality but a continuous journey. By establishing a Business Quality position, we demonstrate our commitment to ongoing improvement and optimization of CPQ processes. This role will drive initiatives to streamline workflows, enhance user experiences, and leverage emerging technologies.

CPQ involves multiple stakeholders, complex configurations, and integrations with existing systems. A Business Quality specialist will ensure that all product configurations meet quality/experience standards and align with business requirements.  BQT will foster cross-functional partnerships and communication channels to align quality objectives with business goals.  Building proficiency in business testing requires specialized skills and training focused on both internal and partner business processes. Risk - without dedicated oversight, there is a risk of overlooking critical business testing activities, leading to system defects, data errors, and user dissatisfaction. Poor quality in CPQ systems can result in operational inefficiencies, such as delayed sales cycles, inaccurate quotes, and missed revenue opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:


CPQ Tool Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the CPQ tool, including troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and ensuring optimal performance.

Business Testing: Collaborate with business stakeholders to define test cases, execute manual and automated testing activities, and ensure that the CPQ product configurations meet business requirements and standards.

Quote to Cash Testing: Conduct end-to-end testing of the quote to cash process, including configuration, pricing, quoting, ordering, order fulfillment and invoicing, to validate system functionality and accuracy.

Production Defect Triage: Investigate and analyze production defects reported by users, prioritize them based on severity and impact, and work with development teams to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Defect Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the defect backlog, track defect resolution progress, and communicate status updates to relevant stakeholders including 'work order fallouts'.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation related to CPQ tool product configurations, test plans, test cases, and defect reports to ensure clarity and consistency across teams.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements

  • 8 years’ experience in conducting root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and implementing corrective actions for a commerce or enterprise application (i.e. CRM, CPQ, ERP).
  • Ability to identify, document and prioritize software defects based on severity and impact, with a proven track record of reducing defect resolution time by 10% within a release cycle.
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies such as functional testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing, with the ability to adapt testing strategies based on project requirements and constraints increasing testing efficiency.
  • Analytical skills to interpret metrics and data to identify trends and patterns to successfully identify 100% of impacted quotes due to a defect or issue.
  • Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, provide status updates, and ensure alignment on testing priorities and objectives.
  • Ability to present defect status updates, including trends, severity levels, and mitigation plans to leadership, ensuring clear and effective communication that facilitates understanding and decision-making.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) events by coordinating with stakeholders, defining UAT test cases, facilitating testing sessions, and ensuring timely resolution of issues, resulting in successful UAT sigh-ff within agreed timelines for major releases.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, Business Administration or equivalent experience, with a focus on commerce applications.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 98,685 - 146,850 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
