Sales Academy Solutions Engineer

Job Summary
As an Academy Solutions Engineer in NetApp’s Cloud CSA team, you will operate in a pre-sales capacity, working collaboratively with our sales and technical teams. You'll identify candidate workloads, design and architect appropriate solutions, run proofs-of-concept, and guide customers in adopting NetApp’s cloud-based products. This role is highly technical, focusing on customer and partner interaction, education, and collaboration, placing you at the heart of our customers’ digital transformation efforts.

Job Requirements
- Strong technical knowledge of cloud concepts and technologies.
- A passion for solving customer business challenges with cloud technology solutions.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently.
- Experience in customer engagement within the as-a-Service space.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing requirements and technologies.
- Experience running proofs-of-concept for software, hardware, or cloud-based solutions in a pre-sales role.
- Knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) and its application in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes, is a plus.
- On-premises infrastructure experience and data migration methodologies are a plus.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned geography to customer locations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong English language skills (additional languages are a plus).
Regular Activities
- Qualify customer opportunities and design tailored solutions leveraging NetApp's cloud offerings.
- Deliver compelling presentations and run technical workshops to demonstrate solutions.
- Develop and execute proofs-of-concept to showcase the effectiveness and value of our solutions.
- Collaborate with sales, technical, and customer success teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Participate in and host industry meet-ups and user groups.
- Publish reference architectures, significant wins, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer opportunity status in Salesforce.
- Engage in continuous self-study to stay ahead of the curve on public cloud services and emerging technologies.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred) with a strong academic background.
- Any cloud-related certifications are a plus.
