Job Summary

The Sales, Support and Services (S3) Academy is a 2-year global development program for Early-In Career talent who aspire to become the next generation of NetApp Leaders, Sales Professionals and Technical Pioneers.​ The S3 Academy focuses on helping top talent reach their full potential by providing an initial 90-day training program. The training immerses participants in the software, systems and cloud technologies that are helping shape the world today and tomorrow. We invest heavily in new talent. As a Sales Development Representative, you are responsible for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing early stages of the customer engagement until they are ready to handoff to the sales team. You keep up-to-date knowledge of the technology industry and help drive awareness of NetApp's products and services in the target business communities.

Job Requirements

  • Prospect and develop leads
  • Perform outbound cold calling to generate leads
  • Responsible for making 70+ calls per day
  • Qualify opportunities and pass off to appropriate team member
  • Responsible for building sales/lead pipeline by meeting & exceeding lead generation (SAL) quotas
  • Create and maintain a database of contacts of current and future customers
  • Provide follow up on demand-generation activities
  • Establish account presence and build trust with key contacts
  • Analyze customer needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying opportunities and scoping potential for NetApp products
  • Present and articulate product features, benefits
  • Integrate with both inside and field sales reps to maximize prospect potential
  • Energetic, upbeat, tenacious team player
  • Excellent written skills, oral skills, phone skills
  • Demonstrated track record at achieving measurable goals in a fast-pace environment
  • Prior objection handling experience
  • Outstanding relationship building skills with a high degree of responsiveness and integrity
  • Able to learn and understand product solutions and features

Education

No industry-relevant experience is required for this position.  Candidates who have acquired basic knowledge or skills through education, internships or relevant coursework will be considered.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is
$45,400 - $73,400 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
