Job Summary

NetApp has 18.7k Windows and 4.6k Mac end-user endpoints under management, supported across 60 sites and 22 countries around the world. Netapp is an engineering company, and a large percentage of the employee population researches, designs, and builds software and systems. This position has primary responsibility for managing these endpoints to ensure they are patched, hardened, and well managed.  Additional responsibilities for Windows & MacOS application management and patching.

Job Responsibilities


•    Be responsible for engineering, design and operationalization of the Endpoint service to include acquiring, installing, or upgrading software, providing routine automation, maintaining security policies, troubleshooting, training staff, and offering technical support for projects. 
•    Leveraging enterprise tooling and automation (including JAMF, InTune, Automox, etc.), ensure that operating systems and supported applications are patched / upgraded / hardened against vulnerabilities
•    Maintain endpoint and security objectives through monitoring systems, reporting, and key performance indicators
•    Help resolve incidents and work as the escalation point for IT Support and Security teams
•    Ensure high levels of run-state consistency across both the Windows and Mac fleets

Job Requirements

  • Understanding of either the Windows or Mac Operating system and working knowledge of the other
    •    Understand mechanics of Windows and/or MacOS operating systems, and enterprise standards for managing and hardening endpoints at scale
    •    Experience in endpoint management tools such as Intune and JAMF
    •    Experience managing a patching tool such as Automox, BigFix, Tanium, Adaptiva
    •    Skilled in leveraging automation for software deployment, patch management, and OS and application updates to Windows and/or MacOS devices
    •    Skilled in device compliance monitoring and reporting
    •    Knowledge of endpoint management and security best practices including experience implementing tooling, security protocols, and compliance checks
    •    Experience implementing OS hardening per NIST 800-171 requirements 
    •    Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with staff that are both technical and non-technical
    •    Ability to communicate and support end-users to effectively work through escalated issues
    •    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    •    Analytical approach to finding the root cause

    You might also have:
    •    Proficiency in multiple scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, and Bash) and experience in developing complex automation scripts.
    •    A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
    •    SQL Reporting and query writing experience
    •    Familiarity with PowerBI and other reporting tools
    •    Automation skills (tool agnostic) and the ability to drive initiatives to automate processes.
    •    Experience with Microsoft cloud technologies such as Azure AD, Azure Information Protection, Cloud App Security and Defender ATP

Education

Preferred 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $130,000 - $175000 and will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, Performance-Based Incentives, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s), with all offerings subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. Benefits may vary by country and region, and further details will be provided as part of the recruitment process.
