Product Manager (Cloud and Financial Modeling)

NetApp is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager, Pricing and Monetization to join the Cloud Storage & Services Business Unit.
In this role, you will shape and execute monetization strategies across NetApp’s cloud storage and services portfolio. You will work at the intersection of product, finance, and go-to-market, driving initiatives related to pricing strategy, SKU architecture, packaging, financial modeling, and revenue optimization.
You will collaborate closely with product management, finance, engineering, sales, and hyperscaler partners to design and implement scalable monetization frameworks that maximize customer value while accelerating revenue growth. This role requires strong analytical thinking, business acumen, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable pricing and packaging strategies.
Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy and Monetization
• Define and execute pricing and monetization strategies for NetApp’s cloud storage and services portfolio, including subscription, consumption based, and marketplace driven models
• Develop financial models to evaluate pricing changes, packaging strategies, and new monetization opportunities including revenue forecasting, margin impact, and scenario analysis
• Conduct market research, competitive benchmarking, and willingness to pay analysis to inform pricing and packaging decisions
• Partner with Finance and GTM teams to ensure pricing strategies align with revenue targets, margin goals, and broader business objectives
SKU Strategy and Commercial Architecture
• Own the lifecycle of product SKUs including SKU creation, pricing updates, bundling strategies, and SKU rationalization
• Design scalable SKU frameworks and packaging models that simplify purchasing while enabling differentiated customer value
• Partner with CPQ, billing, and marketplace teams to operationalize pricing models across sales, partner, and hyperscaler channels
Cloud Hyperscaler and Marketplace Monetization
• Partner with hyperscaler ecosystems including AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud to align pricing strategies with marketplace purchasing models
• Design and optimize cloud marketplace monetization models, including private offers, subscription pricing, and consumption based billing
• Work with hyperscaler partner teams to leverage co sell programs, marketplace incentives, and joint go to market initiatives to accelerate adoption
• Ensure pricing and packaging strategies are compatible with cloud marketplace procurement workflows and partner programs
Product Monetization and Packaging
• Develop product packaging and feature bundling strategies that strengthen the customer value proposition across enterprise and hyperscaler environments
• Evaluate new monetization opportunities including usage based pricing, tiered service levels, and value based pricing models
• Drive experimentation and pricing optimization using data driven approaches including usage telemetry, cohort analysis, and A B testing
Cross Functional Execution
• Drive end to end execution of monetization initiatives by partnering with cross functional teams including engineering, product management, finance, operations, marketing, and sales
• Translate pricing strategy into operational execution including system updates, SKU releases, and GTM readiness
• Coordinate with marketplace operations and partner teams to ensure smooth deployment of pricing changes and commercial offers
Analytics and Business Insights
• Analyze product usage data, customer behavior, and market trends to identify monetization opportunities
• Build dashboards and financial models to track pricing performance, revenue impact, and adoption trends
• Present insights and recommendations to executive leadership to influence product strategy and investment decisions
Qualifications
• 5+ years of product management experience in enterprise software, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS products
• Demonstrated experience designing and executing pricing and monetization strategies for technology products
• Strong experience in financial modeling, pricing analysis, and revenue forecasting using tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python
• Experience managing SKU architectures, pricing updates, and product packaging strategies across enterprise product portfolios
• Experience working with cloud hyperscalers such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud and understanding their marketplace ecosystems
• Experience with cloud marketplaces, private offers, partner programs, and co sell motions is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to partner with Finance, Sales, and GTM teams to align pricing with revenue and margin goals
• Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing product usage telemetry, pricing experiments, and A B testing results
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field required.
- MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 154,700 - 231,000 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off (PTO), various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
