Job Summary

Mentor and advise the NetApp Partner Organization by evangelizing NetApp’s security, cyber resilience, and AI security value propositions. Build a strong security bias with Partners by proposing and defining joint security and AI-resilient solutions, gaining commitment from Solution and Offering Development teams, and supporting the productization of secure, resilient, and AI-compliant solutions within the NetApp-Partner joint portfolio. Lead efforts to design-in security and resilience from the outset and help partners expand existing and/or build new robust security and AI security practices across their organizations and customer offerings.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize solution areas where NetApp’s security, data protection, cyber resilience, and AI security capabilities provide unique value to Partners’ Product and Service Business Units. Drive the development and adoption of secure architectures, including those for AI and machine learning systems, ensuring alignment with Partner competencies, IP, and business models.
  • Lead the design and documentation of secure and resilient solutions that support diverse business case development and ensuring solutions meet both NetApp and Partner security standards, IT governance, and AI-specific security requirements (e.g., model integrity, data privacy, adversarial robustness).
  • Evangelize NetApp’s security, cyber resilience, and AI security solutions with Partner Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and System Engineering teams. Build security competence within partner delivery teams and drive pipeline growth for secure practices and solutions.
  • Support evaluation and demonstration of security solutions, including hands-on installation, administration, and tuning of NetApp security features and integration with partner demonstration infrastructure and AI platforms.
  • Provide technical consultation on security topics, disseminate product information, and resolve technical questions by analyzing and researching problems. Position NetApp’s security offerings favorably against competitors.
  • Develop and deliver in close collaboration with NetApp Revenue Enablement security-focused training for Partner Engineering, Marketing, Pre-sales, Post-Sales, and Consulting teams, both at headquarters and in the field.
  • Serve as a liaison between NetApp BU and Partner Engineering teams, ensuring clear communication of security requirements and feedback as well as the partner perspective in these areas.
  • Aid Strategic Partners in responding to technical sections of RFPs related to security, and in determining the technical feasibility of secure and AI-compliant solutions. Support qualification and closure of security-focused and AI-resilient sales opportunities.
  • Advocate for Partners’ unique security, resilience, and AI security requirements within NetApp, providing feedback to guide future security and AI product development.

Communication Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security and AI security concepts and solutions clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Able to develop and deliver security and AI security presentations at all organizational levels and across global teams.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, or related technical discipline. Advanced degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or AI Security is highly desired.
  • Seven or more years’ experience in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity, or AI Security in a sales or partner-facing environment. Experience supporting large global accounts or partners, with a focus on security, resilience, and AI security, is desirable.
  • Expert/consultant-level knowledge in one or more of the following: Security Architecture, Cyber Resilience, AI Security, Storage and Data Protection, Cloud Security, Converged and Hyper-Converged Security Solutions, Software-Defined Security, Big Data Security Analytics, Business Application Security (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Enterprise Datacenter or Service Provider Security.
  • Proven experience with public cloud security technologies (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM Cloud), enterprise storage and server security, business continuity, IP networking, and security. Familiarity with AI security frameworks, secure model deployment, and data privacy in AI systems is highly valued.
  • Strong technical and project management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and drive security and AI security initiatives with development teams and partner organizations.
  • Excellent business acumen, with the ability to map business requirements to secure and AI-compliant technical solutions.
  • Compelling communication skills for security and AI security topics, across written, verbal, and presentation formats, for audiences ranging from small groups to large conferences.
  • Willingness to travel as required, including partner enablement, security and AI security practice building.

  • GIAC Security Certifications (e.g., GSEC, GCIH, GCIA)

  • Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE)
  • AI Security-specific certifications (e.g., Certified AI Security Specialist, or equivalent training in AI risk management, adversarial ML, and AI governance)

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is 230,350 - 298,100 USD. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies.
